Pop-up retail has taken the UK by storm over the last few years, with temporary stores proving a staple in many of the country’s busiest retail spaces. This wasn’t the case in the early 2000’s when co-founder Andy Moss and Nick Daffern crossed paths in Formula 1 and World Rallying and found themselves appalled at how fans were forced to buy merchandise from tents. From there, they saw a niche to develop high-quality branded units, and launched the range in 2007, winning their first orders in 2008.
The accelerated growth in the pop-up retail market led to an increase in demand for Rapid Retail and inevitably, a need to source external funding to support the businesses’ growth plans.
Maven found that the business was a great fit to receive the MEIF Maven Debt Fund solution due to its high-quality client base and it’s passionate and experienced management team, so we provided a £300,000 debt solution to enable the business to expand its portfolio of products, exploiting new growth opportunities overseas and support the creation of seven new jobs in the region.
