Dyer Engineering was founded in 1977 with the company originally manufacturing pipe fittings and has a proud history in County Durham, having also supported the local mining industry. Since then the business has diversified in other industries and now employs 150 staff.
Dyer Engineering’s senior management team has spent the last 5 years improving the business to establish a platform for high growth and to attract new customers. The seven individuals who form the senior management team have more than 150 years’ combined experience across a range of relevant businesses and industries. Several of the markets Dyer Engineering serves are experiencing growth, with Rail being a very active sector underpinned by government funding. Dyer Engineering’s client base includes several large companies, including Hitachi Rail, Siemens, BAE Systems, Cummins and Nexus.
The funding will enable the company to take advantage of several growth opportunities and support the creation of up to 100 new jobs in the region.
