Michelle Pownall brings over 30 years’ banking experience to the MEIF Midlands Team.
Maven welcomes Michelle Pownall to the Investment team in the Midlands, joining as Portfolio Director to monitor and support the progress of portfolio companies, for the £90 million Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) across the West, East and South East Midlands.
Michelle joins with extensive commercial banking experience supporting SMEs and mid-market clients, managing diverse portfolios as well as key business relationships for the likes of NatWest, RBS and Santander. Most recently, she also worked in Credit Risk, focussing on risk analysis and portfolio management alongside guidance on risk mitigation and effective structuring of funding solutions for local businesses.
Strengthening Maven’s presence across the region, Michelle will work closely with SMEs and high growth businesses to support the growing MEIF Fund portfolio. The appointment follows the milestone achieved by Maven, having supported 59 SMEs’ by providing over £30 million and helping create over 150 new jobs since its inception. The fund’s positive impact on businesses in the Midlands is already evident, fuelling the growth of ambitious SMEs across a wide range of industries, and supporting a significant number of jobs.”
